Two arrested in Vandemere with outstanding warrants

On Friday, September 2, 2022, Pamlico County deputies arrested Brandon Anthony Peltier, 34, of Vandemere on an outstanding warrant for Assault on a female. At the time of his arrest Peltier was found in possession of a handgun and a quantity of cocaine.

Peltier was arrested on August 16 after deputies served a search warrant related to a narcotics investigation. Peltier was arrested and placed into the Pamlico County Detention Center under a $50,000.00 secured bond for that case.

Additional charges related to the August 16 search warrant were also filed at the time of his arrest. Additional charges related to the previous investigation included Trafficking in Cocaine by Possession, Possession of a weapon of mass destruction (sawed off shotgun). Peltier was placed into the Pamlico County Detention Center under a $750,000.00 secured bond.

SMITH, O’Brian Perez
In an unrelated investigation Pamlico County deputies arrested O’brian Perez Smith, 43 of Grantsboro, NC. Smith was arrested as a result of a two-month investigation into the sale of narcotics in the Pamlico County area. Smith was charged with the following crimes and placed into the Pamlico County Detention Center under a $30,000.00 secured bond.
