On Thursday, September 1, 2022, Investigators of the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the residence of Timothy Smith in the Grantsboro community of Pamlico County. Smith was the subject of an ongoing investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics.
During the search of the residence investigators seized approximately 13 grams of cocaine, digital scales, US Currency, and a handgun. Smith, 39, is currently on probation for previous drug crimes and was arrested and charged with the following crimes:
PWIMSD Sch II C/S (Cocaine)
Possession Drug Paraphernalia
Maintaining a dwelling for keeping/selling controlled substances
Possession of a firearm by Felon
Smith was placed into the Pamlico County Detention Center under a $150,000.00 secured bond for the above charges and an associated probation violation.
