Maybe now an appointment for that overdue renewal is possible
RALEIGH – Forty new driver license examiner positions have been made possible by a mini-budget signed into law by Governor Josh Stein this month. These roles aim to shorten lines and wait times at driver license offices across North Carolina.
Applications will soon open on the DMV Careers webpage http://www.ncdot.gov. To speed up recruitment, the agency will host job fairs statewide in the coming weeks, where candidates can learn about the roles and apply on-site.
“We thank the legislature, governor, and auditor for their support in creating these vital positions,” said NCDMV Commissioner Paul Tine. “Our team is focused on quickly hiring and training examiners to improve service and reduce wait times for North Carolinians.”
New examiners will speed up the ability to provide fast, reliable services for driver licenses, IDs, and more. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply and join a team committed to improving the customer experience.
