US/MEXICO BORDER – Friday, April 9, I saw this situation first hand. Because of the administration’s removal of the ‘Stay in Mexico’ Policy, there has been an essential green light for immigrants to come to the US since the inauguration.
If you don’t believe me, ask the agents we spoke with. There have been thousands upon thousands of unaccompanied minors that have come into this country. Some as young as 2 years old with a phone number written on their chest. Other young girls and boys by themselves simply scared to death.
Because Customs and Border Patrol agents have been reassigned from their duties guarding the border to process these individuals, Drug Cartels have taken full advantage of the chaos by using unaccompanied children as diversions in one place so they can get drugs across in another section.
The dedicated agents are doing the very best that they can but they are simply being overrun. A 25 acre housing and processing facility was built in the last 3 weeks to deal with the Humanitarian Crisis. In one place where only 35 children should be kept, we were told that 270 were being kept there.
Our southern border is no longer secure and some Americans will pay with their lives because of it.
