One arrested in Pamlico County on drug and gun charges — under a 1,575,000.00 secured bond

 

On Friday, April 21, 2023, deputies of the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office concluded a two-month investigation related to the sale of illegal narcotics in the Mesic community of Pamlico County. Deputies executed a search warrant at the residence of Montrell Cordess Curtis, 25 of Mesic. Deputies recovered and seized over 100 Fentanyl pills, a quantity of US currency, a short barreled AR-15 style rifle and ammunition, approximately 4.5 ounces of marijuana, and assorted drug paraphernalia. Curtis was arrested and charged with the following crimes and is being held in the Pamlico County Detention Center under a 1,575,000.00 secured bond. Curtis has been previously convicted of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon in Pamlico County.
