On Monday, August 5, 2024, deputies of the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the residence of Lisa Gibble Hawkins 55, at her Blackhorse Run residence in the Reelsboro community of Pamlico County. The warrant was executed as part of an ongoing investigation related to the sale and distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl in the Reelsboro area.
As a result of the search investigators were able to locate and seize approximately 4 ounces of Methamphetamine and 11 grams of Fentanyl. Investigators also seized a quantity of Marijuana and, numerous items of drug paraphernalia related to the sale and packaging of controlled substances.
Hawkins was arrested and charged with the following crimes related to the search.
- Trafficking by Possession Methamphetamine
- Trafficking by Possession Heroin/Fentanyl
- Maintaining a Dwelling for Keeping/Selling Controlled Substances
- Possession w/ Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana
- Felony Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Hawkins was confined to the Pamlico County Detention Center and held under a $2,000,000.00 secured bond. Hawkins was currently out of pretrial release from Craven and Pamlico Counties for additional drug trafficking crimes at the time of her arrest.
