BAYBORO – Well-phrased Monday night by County Commissioner Kenny Heath! He aptly summed up a month that included hours and hours of deliberations to determine if there is a different, and perhaps better, way to tackle Animal Control in our area? The answer is to stick with the tried and true – Berkley Hill. Recently injured in a car wreck, Hill has quietly served for many years as the cheerful, efficient, one-man 24/7 Animal Control Officer. Hill hopes to return. And, when he does, elected officials will breathe a sigh of relief. There will be guidelines in place to ensure that Hill is no longer over-worked, and will be fairly compensated when exceeding the call of duty.
