NEW BERN – Breeze Airways, which bills itself as a ‘seriously nice’ airline, received a warm, well-attended Tuesday morning greeting from area VIPs, and future passengers! Turns out Emily Jones, age 11, may well be one of the first to board when Breeze begins flights on May 24. Emily is the precocious daughter of Jason Jones, Chairman of the Craven County Board of Commissioners.
“When I mentioned that Breeze will be flying non-stop to Orlando for just $49 one-way, well that got her attention,” joked Jones.
The airline, not yet three years old, will initially offer twice weekly nonstop flights to Hartford, CT and Orlando, FL. Both routes will feature the 137-seat Airbus A220 aircraft. Eastern North Carolina is the 50th market for Breeze. For reservations, visit www.FlyBreeze.com.
