Help P.A.C.E. Feed the Future

By Dr. Dawn Baldwin Gibson | Senior Administrator | Peletah Academic Center for Excellence

For more than 15 years, Peletah Ministries has been committed to serving and rebuilding communities across Eastern North Carolina. When hurricanes and other disasters have impacted our region, Peletah has been there—providing food and essential supplies, helping families recover, supporting rebuilding efforts, connecting residents with resources, and creating programs designed to strengthen children, families, and communities.

For the past 10 years, that commitment has also included educating and investing in children through Peletah Academic Center for Excellence (P.A.C.E.).

P.A.C.E. is a small school doing big things. Our scholars have achieved exceptional academic results, our innovative Bounce Forward program has been recognized by PBS North Carolina, and our students receive unique enrichment opportunities, including our film program with award-winning actress Mrs. Karen Abercrombie, known as Mrs. Clara in The War Room and The Forge.

We also work to remove barriers for families by providing school supplies, bookbags, uniform assistance, technology, enrichment opportunities, and other resources. Our scholars have continued their education at institutions including UNC-Chapel Hill, Morehouse College, NC A&T State University, NC Central University, Craven Community College, Beaufort County Community College, and Peletah College.

Today, we are asking the community we have served to come alongside us.

One of our most immediate needs is helping provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks every school day. As food costs continue to rise, we are inviting individuals, churches, businesses, civic organizations, and community partners to help us make sure our scholars are fed and ready to learn.

Whether you sponsor meals, make a financial contribution, donate food, or become a community partner, every act of generosity helps. For more than 15 years, Peletah has believed that strong communities are built when we take care of one another. Together, we can continue feeding, educating, and investing in the next generation.
