By Paul Branaman, Founder | CAMP GREENFEET
Editor’s note: Camp Greenfeet is an exceptional (and free) one-week event in early July, open to young girls who are ‘at-risk’ for whatever reason. Mr. Branaman recently suffered an injury, which is likely to impede this effort. Here, he describes his predicament and issues a plea for assistance.
VANDEMERE – We’re not stopping just because of a busted foot, but we are having to definitely modify our game plan some. We can use your help!
There are girls in Pamlico County who don’t realize there is a caring community out there just waiting to assist. And, the flip side of that coin is the same caring community may not know how to go about lending a hand. It will be great if the two come together this summer in little old Vandemere on the spectacular grounds of Camp Vandemere.
Open slots for Camp Greenfeet remain open, but we must first ensure an adequate staff is in place. If you can volunteer for one or more days, I would love to speak with you. Or, please consider a donation. Remember, the funds we raise for this camp will stay right here in Pamlico County. We’re a 501c3 non-profit and all contributions are tax deductible.
I’ll be in Pamlico almost every day until the end of summer. Our immediate need is early July to welcome and oversee our many campers.
