Every 25 years the city of Oriental celebrates its heritage and 2024 marks 125 years. Appropriately, this celebration donates all proceeds to the Oriental History Museum.
Our celebration runs the weekend 1-3 March with a Parade, 43 craft and food vendors, a ‘Breakfast at Brantley’s’ play at the Old Theater, a sailboat parade in front of Lou Mac Park, and the event would not be complete without Historians gathered to speak about Oriental’s past 125 years at our Town Hall, the New Village Brewery, and the Kids Corner at Lou Mac park.
Our local retail and food establishments will be having specials all weekend long – please enjoy!!
And any celebration would not be complete without live music on Saturday, March 2 with the finest talent Oriental has to offer – coming together from noon until 8pm. Bring a folding chair.
CROAKER FESTIVAL PLANNING SESSION –
We need volunteers! Please join us for a free breakfast (middle room of Brantley’s) this Saturday, Feb. 24, at 8:30am. No matter what your ‘skill-set’ may be, we will embrace you with our long Croaker Festival arms. ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE IS WELCOME!! Please attend.
