Pageant Crowns Senior Queen

Saturday, May 4th, the MS North Carolina Senior America Pageant was the center of excitement for ten beautiful and talented senior ladies from the state of North Carolina. Martha Redfearn Mirman from Pinehurst, NC was honored with the title and crown of “MS North Carolina Senior America 2024.” Martha will represent North Carolina in the National Pageant to be held September 29-October 3 in Atlantic City, NJ. She and other state Queens will compete for the National title of MS Senior America 2024/2025.

Ann Nivens (Mooresville, NC) was chosen as 1st runner up; Debbie Green (Stanley, NC) was 2nd runner up; and Donna Church Fraley (Mocksville, NC) was 3rd runner-up. Margaret Ann Cobb-Fairchild (New Bern, NC) won the MS Congeniality award and Donna Church Fraley (Mocksville, NC) won the People’s Choice Award.

Others who participated were: Patsy Aldred (Durham, NC), Sheila Swift (Laurinburg, NC), Nancy Doherty (Creedmoor, NC), Martha Butler (Pinehurst, NC).and Darlene Benesch (Graham, NC).

The pageant directors, Beverly A. Wetherbie (Ms Virginia Senior America 2005), Polly King (MS North Carolina Senior America 2015), and Laura C. Morgan (Ms Senior America 2021/2022) along with Jeff Aydelette (Master of Ceremonies) ]from Arapahoe, NC provided an exciting production of beauty and talent.

The North Carolina Senior America Pageant is a non-profit organization which seeks to enhance the image of women who have reached the “Age of Elegance” — 60 years or better. The Pageant honors the gracious woman who best exemplifies dignity, maturity, and inner beauty.
