WHORTONSVILLE – Marine Craft marina recently hosted what organizers described as ‘Antares University.’ The multi-day event and excursion is designed for new owners of an Antares Catamaran to learn boat handling skills as well as the boat systems.
An elaborate wrap-up came on Labor Day, Sept. 4 when Marine Craft hosted the ‘1st Annual Antares meetup.’ It was an all day affair that started with an oyster excursion. Antares Owners visited Lighthouse Shoal Oyster Company’s oyster lease for a tour, facilitated by owner/operator Alex Adams.
Antares Owners were treated to a brief history of the company, and an in-depth presentation of the farming and process. Samples of the famous Lighthouse Shoal Oysters followed, along with a souvenir ‘oyster-shucking’ knife.
