On Friday, February 11, 2022, deputies responded to a reported overdose at a residence on G Harper Lane in the Arapahoe community of Pamlico County. Evidence collected at the scene and other information led Investigators to apply for and recieve a search warrant for the home of Andre Deshawn Ganues, 36 of Arapahoe. During the execution of the warrant approximately 5 grams of heroin, a quantity of suspected cocaine and assorted drug paraphernalia were located inside the residence and subsequently seized. Ganues was currently out on pretrial release for narcotics violations and is currently on probation for previous narcotics related convictions. Ganues was charged with the following crimes:
Trafficking Heroin by Possession
Trafficking Heroin by Manufacture
Maintaining a Dwelling for Use or Sale of Controlled Substance
Ganues was placed into the Pamlico County Detention Center under a $750,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled for a first appearance in district court February 18, 2022.
