Hospice of Pamlico Co., Inc. seeks part-time bookkeeper

Hospice of Pamlico Co., Inc. is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the highest quality end-of-life care and support to our patients and their families. We provide Hospice Care, Bereavement Counseling and Community Education.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Bookkeeper to join our passionate team and help ensure our financial operations run smoothly and transparently.This is a part-time position, requiring two days per week. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using bookkeeping software

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable

  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare monthly financial reports

  • Assist with budget tracking reporting

  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards

  • Collaborate with staff to track expenses and allocate funds appropriately

  • Prepare documentation for board and independent CPA reviews

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
