Pamlico County, NC – Structure Fire (Fatality)

On Thursday , January 18th, 2018 at 12:11 hours, Pamlico County Fire Departments -Goose Creek Island, Vandemere, Triangle, Grantsboro-Silver hill, and Florence-Whortonsville along with Automatic Aid from Aurora Fire Department (Beaufort Co.) were dispatched to the 5600 block of Lowland Rd . in reference to Structure Fire.

First arriving Fire Companies discovered a mobile type home with heavy fire involvement and were able to make a quick extinguishment of the Fire. During the course of extinguishment, personnel located a female victim within the structure who was deceased. The victim’ s identity is not being released at this time due to pending notifications.

The Cause and Determination Investigation of the origin of the Fire was conducted by the Pamlico County Fire Marshal’s Off ice in cooperation with the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation . The cause of the fire is still under investigation and will be released at a later time.
