According to deputies Beavers was not registered with the campground but rather staying with a friend. Security was called to the pool area after Beavers refused to get out. Two off-duty police officers who were vacationing in the campground entered the pool and detained Beavers until deputies arrived on scene.

Lt. Dennis Veal and Deputy Chad Honeycutt reported that while the case was under investigation Beavers had to be transported to Carteret General Hospital for medical reasons. When Beavers was released after medical clearance he was taken into custody.

Beavers was charged with one count of Indecent Liberties with a Child, Intoxicated and Disruptive, and trespassing. Beavers was held in the Carteret County Jail under a

$5,000.00 bond. The two adult sexual assault victims declined to prosecute Beavers for “sexual battery” at the current time. Beavers was scheduled for his first court appearance today, 06/15/2015. No further information is being released due to the age of the victim. Beavers was released after posting a $5000.00 bond. Beavers advised deputies he works as a seasonal park ranger in Stone Mountain, NC.
