RE: Invitation to Public Meeting:

TIP Project No: B-5613 & B-5616 Proposal to replace Bridge No. 36 over the South Prong Bay River and Bridge No. 37 over Alligator Creek along N.C. 55 between the towns of Oriental and Stonewall in Pamlico County.

To Whom It May Concern:

The N. C. Department of Transportation will conduct a public meeting for the above-referenced project. It will be held as follows:

Date: Thursday, March 14, 2019

Time: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Open House, Drop-In Style

Location: Commissioners’ Meeting Room

Pamlico County Courthouse Annex

202 Main Street

Bayboro, NC 28515

The purpose of this meeting is to provide information on the project and to gather public comments. No formal presentation will be made as the meeting is an informal, open house, drop-in style Public Meeting. Interested parties may attend at any time between the hours of 4p.m. to 7p.m.

Because this project may significantly impact traffic flow for an extended period of time on Highway 55, a major transportation corridor in Pamlico County, it is important that residents, business owners and other entities are informed about the project and have the opportunity to submit comments.

A public comment period will be open until March 28, 2019. Forms will be distributed at the meeting to accept public comments. More information can be obtained at the following website: www.ncdot.gov/news/public-meetings/Pages/B-5613-2019-03-14.aspx
