NEW BERN – Sen. Norman Sanderson (R), Dr. Ginger Garner (D), and Tim Harris (L) are all running for the NC State Senate seat in District 2, which encompasses Pamlico, Craven, and Carteret counties. Learn more about these candidates before casting your vote.

All three candidates will be answering questions of local interest at a free event taking place from 7-9 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at the Carolina Colours Golf Club Pavilion ballroom, 3300 Waterscape Way in New Bern.

Nelson McDaniel, a native of eastern North Carolina with a life-long record of civic activity, will serve as the evening’s moderator. The timekeeper will be Jeff Aydelette, publisher and editor of The County Compass and other local newspapers. Both men have graciously volunteered their time for this event.
