RALEIGH, N.C. – The State of North Carolina and FEMA opened a Disaster Recovery Center in Pamlico County in the city of Grantsboro. Other centers will be opening soon in the affected areas. Citizens of Pamlico County, FEMA teams are on the ground and working the areas of Pamlico County that suffered extreme damage. These folks will have identification and FEMA vests on. Feel free to talk with them when they are in your communities as they are the first line of FEMA recovery assistance. Officials are working today to establish a Disaster Recovery Center in partnership with FEMA.

POD Operating Hours Saturday, September 22, 2018– 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The following PODS will be closed Saturday 9/22/2018: -Lowland -Florence -Mesic -Reelsboro -Oriental -Vandemere The following PODS will be open Saturday 9/22/2018 -Arapahoe at Fire Department ALL PODS WILL BE CLOSED SUNDAY, 9/23/2018 Depending on availability the following items are distributed: Water and Meals Ready to Eat (MREs)
