Facebook post labels County Compass ‘highly political and extremist’

It has come to our attention that another magazine has built stands similar to ours and is placing them at the same locations we have. In many cases they put the stand right next to or in front of ours. We know who this person is and are aware of this (we have been receiving many phone calls). It is our opinion that this person is trying to make our customers and advertisers think that their magazine is affiliated with ours.

We have worked hard to establish a community presence and try to make a magazine that will appeal to our readers and advertisers. We started the Albemarle Tradewinds magazine to be community based, inclusive and entertaining for the local audience, NOT to divide one group against another.

We think that the other magazine is HIGHLY POLITICAL and EXTREMIST in its views and we want to take this opportunity to let you all know that we are NOT a political magazine, nor are we affiliated with any political party.

We are not out of business, nor will be in the foreseeable future. We will be around a long time. We think it is unfortunate that someone is trying to ride on the coattails of our success. We cannot control what this person is doing but just wanted to let our readers know we are aware of it. We will keep our magazine entertaining and informative, so look for the next edition the first week in April (we are working on it now).
