BAYBORO – Thanks to Mesic resident Lori Robinson who recently sent this photo of a precarious limb dangling over heavily traveled Hwy. 304. The tree, apparently trimmed one or more times by utility crews, is near the Bayboro town line. A house beside the tree displays a 715 street address. Robinson is particularly attuned to overhead dangers ‘cause I had one fall on my truck as I was passing,” she wrote in an email. Although leafy limbs shrouding roadways are not unusual in rural Pamlico County, this particular example seems egregious. Robinson says that she and other motorists will sometimes divert to a less susceptible part of the roadway rather than risk direct under-the-limb passage.
