PAMLICO COUNTY – In a ceremony Monday night, Ed Riggs, Jr., chairman of the County Commission, administered the Oath of Office to Melanie Campen, who is well-regarded at the state level for her credentials as an Environmental Health Specialist. Campen has served for the past four years on a governor-appointed board that regulates the industry.

“It is an honor to be re-appointed for a second term to the North Carolina State Board of Registered Environmental Health Specialist Examiners,” said Campen in a written state. “It is a privilege to represent Eastern North Carolina as well and Pamlico County and I look forward to serving four more years.”
