CALL TO ACTION! Seafood Lobby Day
The NCFA in conjunction with NC Watermen United are planning a Seafood Lobby Day on Wednesday, June 14 at the Legislative Building located at 16 W. Jones Street, Raleigh, NC.
We ask ALL fishermen, commercial and recreational, family members and supporters of the industry attend to show our opposition to HB 867. This bill could be detrimental to the fishing communities of NC. We need to meet with our legislators and make sure that they understand the importance of keeping the Fisheries Reform Act of 1997 in place.
We understand that you will miss a day of work, but it is more important to put our industry first.
We strongly urge all individuals to come to Raleigh, either through their own means of transportation or transportation can be provided as listed below.
A bus will leave Dare County on Wednesday, 6/14 at 5:30 am from the Manteo Visitors Center. There will be a pick up at BoJangles in Plymouth.
A bus will leave Carteret County on Wednesday, 6/14 at 5:00 am from Piggly Wiggly in Beaufort. That bus will stop at the Foodlion located at 935 Hwy 70 E, James City, NC to pick up passengers.
