BAYBORO – Tuesday, Aug. 8, investigators with the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported assault on a Detention Officer at the Pamlico Correctional Institute. The facility -- on Bay City Road just north of Bayboro -- is a medium security, state-run prison.
