Carteret County receives monetary donation to benefit local foster children
CARTERET COUNTY, NC (March 16, 2023) – This week, Jim Dandy Convenience Stores and Coca-Cola Consolidated presented a $5,000 donation to Carteret County Department of Social Services (DSS) to support local foster care programs. Sheriff Scott Hammonds is excited to announce the implementation of monthly Town Hall Meetings throughout Beaufort County beginning in March 2023.

StarLab Planetarium coming to Carteret County
CARTERET COUNTY, NC (March 2, 2023) – Carteret County Public Library System is hosting the StarLab mobile planetarium during the months of March and April.
StarLab is an inflatable, portable planetarium that uses a projector to display images on the inside of the dome. It is used as an interactive tool geared towards astronomy and produces a real-life experience for all ages. Cocaine Traffickers Busted
In the fall of 2022 Carteret County Sheriff’s Office and Morehead City Police Department Drug Detectives received information that Kuwain Omar Greene was selling controlled substances in Carteret County. Detectives were able to conduct several controlled purchases of cocaine from Kuwain Greene. During the investigation detectives were able to establish Milton Devon Williams as Greene’s source of supply. Detectives then conducted controlled purchases from Kuwain Greene and Milton Williams.
