HURRICANE FRAUD VICTIMS RECOUP SOME RESTITUTION

BEAUFORT – District Attorney Scott Thomas announced that, in Carteret County Superior Court on Wednesday, STANLEY WINSLOW SEARS, JR., 46, of Pinetops, plead guilty to Hurricane Florence-related fraud cases, and began payment of restitution back to the victims of his crimes. Senior Resident Superior Court Judge John Nobles presided over this term of court, and the cases were prosecuted in court by Assistant District Attorney Ashley Eatmon.
