Governor’s newest order cuts number of shoppers

By Rick Henderson | Carolina Journal News Service RALEIGH — North Carolina merchants will have even fewer shoppers next week, thanks to an executive order Gov. Roy Cooper announced at a Thursday, April 9 news conference. Beginning Monday at 5 p.m., stores still allowed to operate must limit the number of people indoors to no more than 20 percent of the stated fire capacity — or five people for every 1,000 square feet. Pamlico County, NC- On April 9th 2020 at 13:30 hours the Pamlico County Health Department received confirmation of a positive test results regarding a citizen who was tested for Novel Coronavirus (COVID- 19) on April 7 2020. The individual tested has been in isolation since the test date. Pamlico County COVID-19 Case Update – Two current active cases have recovered

Of the two (2) current active positive COVID-19 Cases in Pamlico County,both cases have been deemed by Public Health officials as recovered and are off required isolation measures.The necessary isolation requirements are being free of COVID-19 symptoms and fever without fever reducing medications for a minimum of 72 consecutive hours.The recovered patient is now able to continue with daily functions. 2020 Croaker Festival cancelled

It is with heavy heart that I have to announce that the 2020 Croaker Festival will be cancelled. Due to the uncertainty with the Health crisis and the financial burdens our community is sure to incur the Croaker Committee unanimously agreed that this decision was in our community’s best interest. Plans for the 2020 festival had been completed and were to honor “Music and The Arts” which is such a valuable asset to our community. In addition it would be our 40th Anniversary celebration.
