Officials approve closing ‘Road to Nowhere’

GOOSE CREEK ROAD – Usually the Pamlico County Commissioners are tasked with deciding which existing roads need improvement; or, when roads should be built by developers for new subdivisions. So heads were scratched Monday night when board members were asked to abandon a 300-foot section of Goose Creek Road. Sheriff Office closed to public in wake of COVID-19 cases

Over the past week, several Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office employees have tested positive for Covid‐19. After consulting with the Pamlico County Health Department, Pamlico County Emergency Management, and the Pamlico County Manager, Pamlico County Sheriff Chris Davis has made the decision that Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office will be closed to the public until further notice.
