Public notice from County Manager regarding hurricane debris pickup

By Tim Buck, Manager | Pamlico County On a case by case basis, Pamlico County is accepting written requests from individuals to extend Hurricane Florence roadside debris pickup. Individuals requesting roadside pickup of debris not placed in the right of way by the published deadline of January 1, 2019, should submit a request in writing on an approved form. COWARD BROTHERS APPEAR IN COURT ON MURDER CHARGES

NEW BERN — Twin brothers DERICK EARL COWARD and ERIC MATTHEW COWARD, 22, of Grifton, appeared in Craven County District Court this morning for their first appearances on murder charges in the death of Anthony Tucker, 33, of Vanceboro. On January 4, 2019, The Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI), executed a search warrant at 61 Black Horse Run, Reelsboro, NC after receiving numerous drug complaints from concerned citizens. During the search, deputies seized Trafficking amounts of heroin, prescription medication, cocaine, marijuana, and a large sum of U.S. Currency.
