Today, The Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of 7 criminal suspects as a result of a 6-month drug investigation that targeted those responsible with trafficking narcotics (heroin and crystal meth) in Pamlico County and throughout Eastern North Carolina. BORKOWSKI CHANGES PLEA DURING TRIAL, SENTENCED TO PRISON

NEW BERN – District Attorney Scott Thomas announced that, in Craven County Superior Court yesterday, MITCHELL CHARLES BORKOWSKI, 35, of Bridgeton, changed his plea to “guilty” during his jury trial for multiple break-in and theft offenses, and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Superior Court Judge John Nobles presided over the trial and plea, and the cases were prosecuted in court by Assistant District Attorney Robert McAfee. Newport woman charged with malicious castration

On 09/10/2019, Carteret County Deputies arrested Victoria Thomas Frabutt, 56, of 202 Murdoch Rd, Newport for severing her husband’s penis. Deputies responded to the residence just before 4am this morning where James Frabutt reported his wife tied him up and pulled out a knife. The motive for the castration is still unclear. Deputies were able to recover the body part where it was immediately put on ice and transported to medical personnel. James Frabutt, 61, was transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
