Attention: Rabies has been reported!

Pamlico County Animal Control has recently confirmed 2 cases of animals testing positive for rabies: 1) a fox found on North 3rd Street in Bayboro and 2) a skunk located at the end of Ireland Road in Alliance. Over the last 60 days, there have been a total of 4 animals in the Bayboro-Alliance area, including the 2 described above that have tested positive for rabies. Rabies is a preventable viral disease of mammals most often transmitted through the bite of a rabid animal. ‘Big Brother’ expands surveillance

House Transportation Committee, despite objections from several members over privacy concerns.
