SEX OFFENDER SENT TO PRISON FOR 34 TO 60 MONTHS

BAYBORO – District Attorney Scott Thomas announced that, in Pamlico County Superior Court this week, ARTHUR BARNARD, 50, of Alliance, was convicted upon a guilty plea to charges arising out of his status as a registered sex offender, and he was sentenced to a prison term of 34 to 60 months. Superior Court Judge Will Bland presided, and the cases were prosecuted in court by Assistant District Attorney Christy Hawkins. Barnard is a convicted sex offender, having been convicted in the State of New Hampshire in 1991. He relocated to live in Pamlico County, and reported his residence address as bei…
