Tennessee man charged in sexual assault

On 05/24/2018, Carteret County Deputies and the NC State Bureau of Investigation flew to Chattanooga, TN to pick up Raymond Andrew Corona, 26, of Hixson, TN for engaging in sexual acts with a local minor. Detective Derek Moore who investigated the case said that Corona is accused of flying into a nearby airport and having relations with a 13-year-old girl he met on- line in the fall of 2017. Corona, who was arrested on 05/11/2018 by Chattanooga Police, was held in the Hamilton County jail awaiting an extradition hearing for the NC charges. GRANTSBORO — Piggly Wiggly has been cleared to open its doors at 7 am Monday morning, having been closed for just a single day after a Saturday night fire in an adjacent business — located in a separate, non-grocery area of the large building.
