Fundraising luncheon, book signing set for River Dunes

Fortune 500 executive Bruce Hartman hosts a benefit this Saturday at River Dunes. School’s historic bid for a dual 1-A State Championship falls short

Davis Lady Canes receive introductions prior to start of their game versus the Mount Airy Lady Bears for the 1-A State High School Championship.   After the opening tipoff, the Canes quickly scored the first four points of the game, but faltered as the Bears went on an 18 to 7 point run in the first quarter.   By late in the third quarter, the Canes trailed 51 to 23.   The Hurricane Cheerleaders did double duty Saturday in support of both the men’s and women’s teams from Pamlico County High School.  …
