DRUG TRAFFICKER SENT TO PRISON

NEW BERN – District Attorney Scott Thomas announced that, in Craven County Superior Court last week, JOSEPH M. FARMER, 33, of Newport, entered guilty pleas to a series of felony drug offenses, and was sentenced to a mandatory prison sentence. Resident Superior Court Judge Josh Willey presided, and the cases were prosecuted in court by Assistant District Attorney Chekesha Hukins. CHECKPOINT RESULTS IN FELONY MARIJUANA CONVICTION

NEW BERN – District Attorney Scott Thomas announced that, in Craven County Superior Court last week, JOSEPH CORNELIUS HARGETT, 40, of Trenton, entered a guilty plea to felony charges arising out of his possession of marijuana. Resident Superior Court Judge Josh Willey presided over this term of court, and the cases were prosecuted in court by Assistant District Attorney Chekesha Hukins.
