Skeletal remains recovered from Peletier

CARTERET COUNTY — Carteret County Deputies are investigating the remains of a skeleton found by deer hunters early on 10/27/2018. The remains were found in a heavily wooded area between Winsett Lane and Peletier Loop Road, Peletier, NC. Detectives and a county medical examiner processed the scene and collected the remains Saturday morning. At the current time the remains are unable to be identified and investigators are unable to say if the skeleton is a male or female.
